Background
Our relationship with EQ Retreats started 18 months ago when co-founder, Kerry Evans contacted us to discuss her ambitions for a series of nutritional healthcare food products. That project is still work in progress but when she teamed up with Alex Brounger to create a series of health, fitness and wellness weekends Kerry knew that she wanted to work with The House.
What we did
Originally named Transform Bootcamps, we saw little in their name or messaging to differentiate them from their competitors, so we developed a new brand identity to communicate their vision and values more effectively. Our starting point was creating a name to really encapsulate what the retreats stood for: helping guests achieve a happy balance in life. ‘EQ well- balanced health, fitness and wellbeing’ represents this sense of equilibrium. The concept of balance would feed all other areas of the visual identity, copy style and font. We revitalised the logo, colour palette, typeface and imagery to create a new web site and a range of marketing and promotional materials.
Did it work?
EQ began 2011 with a renewed sense of optimism and this has translated into a level of sales that has exceeded their expectations.
