Fiskars Garden Tools
Fiskars are one of the western world’s oldest companies, and the global number 1 in garden hand tools.
The 30 year licensing agreement between Fiskars, the global no.1 in garden hand tools, and Wilkinson Sword comes to an end this September.
We were appointed back in January to help the Fiskars team to manage the brand migration from Wilkinson Sword to Fiskars, ensuring a smooth transition for existing trade customers and consumers, raise awareness of the Fiskars brand and work with key trade partners to help develop the gardening category in general.
The first challenge was to communicate the change to Fiskars employees and all trade partners, involving them in the process and allowing them time to adjust to the practicalities of such a shift, as well as engaging everyone in the Fiskars brand and making sure everyone was on board for the exciting ride ahead. We secretly branded a room at Fiskars HQ in Bridgend for the internal launch, as well as creating portable POS and presentation materials for the sales team to wow their key accounts.

We also created a gift pack for all employees and every single trade customer, which included a pair of Fiskars iconic orange-handled scissors, a booklet explaining the changes and giving a brief background to the Fiskars brand, as well as a USB stick which featured captivating videos of Fiskars village in Finland and summed up the essence of this great brand.
We ensured that Fiskars were supported by a brand new website as well as eye catching exhibition stands featuring interactive tool demonstration displays, advertising in key gardening titles, online weather sponsorship and a trade marketing campaign.
