Burnt Sugar
Burnt Sugar make fudge that you’ll fall in love with. Born in 1999, inspired by a family recipe, these Faritrade treats range from sea salt fudge through to deliciously chewy dark chocolate caramels.
Armed with a sweet tooth and a sweet heart, thehouse team have been working with Burnt Sugar to make the retail trade and target consumers aware of its wonderful new recipes and eye-catching packaging.

We took the Burnt Sugar story to the trade in a basket, a picnic basket containing coffee, cups, rug and beautifully crafted spiral bound presenter.
We developed very memorable press packs (working with our friends at Corixa), targeting 50 food, lifestyle and women’s interest titles. We also took sampling packs to Hay Festival and dished them out with copies of the Guardian.
We’ve also created a shiny new website, celebrating life’s sweeter side. Designed to build a community of sweet-natured, confectionery lovers, the site contains 52 ways to recognise kind-hearted folk with Burnt Sugar rewards, blogs, nominations page and a monthly mouth-piece.
Having got a flavour for Burnt Sugar and its plans for 2009/10, the result was an increased listing within Waitrose (from 3 to 4 lines), a full first time listing of all 7 skus within Booths (in all 29 stores) and a full first time listing with Ocado, just for starters.
